Movie and Film Class

We took a Movie and Film class and a teacher was Vicky. During the class, we watched the movie “Forrest Gump” and after movie, we had some quizzes related to the movie and discussed our opinions.

1. Touching movie “Forrest Gump” and Encourage participation
We’re watching “Forrest Gump” in class. It’s very touching movie. And Tom Hanks is sooooooooooooooooooo handsome. While we’re watching movie, I’m falling in his attraction. Anyway, the movie choice was excellent. This movie inspires self-confidence and dream in our mind.

Throughout our movie class, we’re quite enthusiastic because of the participation coupon. It makes people to watch movie with attention and also to encourage participation in class. Even some students who do not usually answer well try to participate and make an answer.

2. We can improve listening and learn new expression
Maybe almost Korean students study TOEIC test. But sometimes we cannot understand western people’s talk, because we don’t know real life expression well. In the movie, we keep listening English, especially expression using in real life, and learn many expression in the movie. Characters in the movie use idioms and slangs. If we study with movie, we can learn new expression as well as improve listening skill.

3. Common Sense and History
By watching the movie “Forrest Gump”, we could learn about history, for example, Vietnam War, assassination of American presidents and Watergate scandal etc. And we could get to know the details through assignments that teacher gave us. It helped us accumulate a lot of common senses so it was really worthwhile.

My Favorite Parts of the Camp :)

I’d like to talk about my favorite parts of the Gachon Global Leaders English Immersion Camp: Movie, Salsa, and Blogging.

In movie class, we’re watching “Forrest Gump.” It’s really helpful to learn English, and the movie is fun and touching. In every class, we’re watching little by little. I’m really curious following story by next day. I think the movie choice was good! In addition, I could learn some common sense such as Vietnam War, Watergate Scandal, and Black Panthers.

I’ve never learned Salsa dance. I’m not a good dancer. So I worried about that seriously. But it was my misunderstanding. Even though I was a man in dance and every girl are taller than me, it was very interesting. After having a lunch, I normally feel sleepy all the time. But in salsa class, I couldn’t feel any tiresome. Of course, after salsa class, I totally became exhausted and couldn’t focus on other class.

I’d like to choose listening class as one of my favorite class, but Alex said, “The person who choose listening class is crazy.” So I just changed to blogging class. But I really like listening class because I can improve my listening skill. Alex is very goooooooooooood teacher, I think. He has passion and is funny. So I and all classmates love Alex’s class. Do I have wrong opinion? haha :) And I try to write something every day. So I could improve my writing skill and have some times to think about me, this camp, and other interestings.

There are nicer classes more than I’ve mentioned. Especially, Drama class was quite good and fun!! I could be an actress and director. If I have chance, I'd like introduce this class more.

After I go back to my place, I would miss all of here. ;(

Out of Sight, Out of Mind?

Here is Gacheon Global Leader English Immersion Camp.
Here are many students who have girl friend or boy friend.
Is everyone getting along with your boy friend or girl friend?

Some do, but others do not.

I saw many couples are in trouble during this camp.
I heard many couples are arguing on the phone.
Maybe the reasons are that we're so busy and can't contact well
or that they worry about other guy or girl.
well.. I think there are many reasons.

At first day, I guess they miss each other.
But.... But... As time goes by.....
We say, "I never miss him/her.
Sometimes I feel his(her) calling is annoying."

Oh. My. GOD.

I suddenly think of this sentence :
Out of sight, Out of mind.
What do you think about that?
+) I never said it's my story!!!
I'm still in good relationship with my boy friend T-T
Don't sympathize me, please haha
